  1. Main objective of scheme – The main purpose of scheme launch is to offer financial help to meritorious students who had to go through challenges to complete education.
  2. Beneficiaries of the scheme – The meritorious candidates can continue higher students with financial help offered from the state government. The scheme will help to remove the financial burden of the candidates in Maharashtra.
  3. Benefit of the scheme – The scheme is sure to boost the literacy level that automatically reflects on increased employee rate in the state. 

Therefore, as the scholarship scheme has been started, more students can complete their higher studies and get their dream job. It is mainly due to the initiative of Mahadbt Scholarship that has been launched by Maharashtra state government. MahaDBT Scholarship Eligibility and Amount Benefits

The eligibility criteria and amount benefits of all types of scholarship is given below –

Department of Social Justice And Special Assistance  

Eligibility

It is mainly the initiative of social justice and the special assistance department at Maharashtra that decided to come up with this scholarship for the post-matric level. It will mainly offer help to students in form of exam fees, tuition fees, education fees, allowance and offer maintenance fees for many. It will help the students of poor families to complete their education and then move on to the specific category of job opportunity and get a life for themselves and family. It can also reduce the chance of school drop-outs as they can continue the education of choice and help their family by becoming an earning member. But there are certain criteria to get the benefits of the scholarship and these are enlisted in the following part of the article for the help of the students belonging to different categories.

  • Post matric tuition and examination fees

The tuition fees, and other mandatory fees to be paid by students under this will be covered under scheme benefits. 

  • Maintenance allowance for student under professional courses

Students of government hostels:

  1. Course of 4 to 5 years costing rupees 7000 per annum 
  2. 2 to 3 years course costing for rupees 5000 
  3. For course below 2 years, it should cost rupees 500

Students who are from non-government hostels:

  1. Course of 4 to 5 years to cost rupees 10000 yearly 
  2. Course of 2 to 3 years to cost rupees 7000 yearly 
  3. Course which is below 2 years will cost rupees 5000 
  • Rajarshri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship

As per this scheme, SC students should get 75% in the SSC exam. In addition, to be eligible for class XI exam, the student will be given a scholarship of rupees 300 monthly for 10 months for a long span of 2 years covering the course.

  • Post-Matric Scholarship for Persons with Disability 

The maintenance allowance to be given under this has been categorized under different groups of A, B, C, D and E:

Day scholar 

  1. Group A- INR 550
  2. Group B- INR 530
  3. Group C- INR 530
  4. Group D- INR 300
  5. Group E- INR 230

Blind: Vachak Bhatta (additional)

  1. Group A, B, C- INR 100
  2. Group D- INR 75

However, students of technical and professional teams opting for any practical tours should get a minimum of rupees 500. If the project is mandatory for the student during the course, it should get an extra of rupees 600 for printing purposes. 

Tribal Department of Development  

Eligibility

The tribal development department has come up with four scholarship categories with post matric scholarship via the Mahadbt scholarship choices. Only the candidates of scheduled caste groups are eligible to apply for it. The financial assistance would cover tuition fees, exam fees, education fees, maintenance allowance and other types of educational expenses of a student. The details of criteria are listed below and students should check it before applying for it.

Student’s special allowance is rupees 160 monthly with a special payment of rupees 160 every month. For the mentally retarded ones, they will get an extra of rupees 240 monthly with following additional payments:

  1. Rupees 1600 monthly for study tours 
  2. Typing or printing thesis for rupees 1600 monthly 
  3. Booking grant for rupees 1200 monthly 
  • Tuition Fee and Exam Fee for Tribal Students

Here, exam and tuition fees will be given depending on fee structure and it would be waived off for the student under the scheme 

  • Vocational Education Fee Reimbursement

Here, exam and tuition fee would be waived off as per structure as benefit of the scheme 

  • Vocational Education Maintenance Allowance

The allowance would be given depending on course duration and they are as follows:

  1. Course duration for 4 of rupees 7000 and 5 years of rupees 10, 000 
  2. The course duration would for 2 to 3 years would be rupees 5000 and 7000 respectively 
  3. For 2 years of less time, it should be rupees 5000 

Directorate of Technical Education

Eligibility

Technical education is expensive than general education and many students cannot afford this, even when they are good at academics. This is where the scholarship scheme can do wonders and help the deserving candidates can get the best of opportunity for the education and earn technical knowledge that would help them in future endeavors and increase the chance of getting a job with suitable and updated technical knowledge.  

In this regard, Directorate of technical education is giving two types of scholarship option for students who are in the streams like biotechnology, engineering, architecture and others. Under the scheme, different financial assistance will be offered to the students, making it easy for them to continue the destined education and get job in the team of their choice. They can easily take up the stream of choice without any financial problem and there are eligibility criteria for it. Some of them are enlisted in the following part of the article.

Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Yojana

  • Residential proof – The natives of Maharashtra are only eligible to register for the scheme.
  • Indian candidate – Only Indian candidates are eligible to register for the scheme.
  • Category of student and course – Only ‘Bonafide student of Institute’ are eligible under the technical and professional course.
  • No deemed university students are eligible – The applicants from no deemed university are eligible to apply for the scholarship scheme.
  • Admission through CAP – To avail of benefits of scheme, one should have admission through the centralized admission process or CAP.
  • Scholarship benefits – When a candidate is availing this scholarship benefit, he or she cannot avail of the rest at the same time.
  • Eligibility for scholarship – From one family, only two children are eligible to get the scheme benefits and pursue the course of their choice.
  • Annual income – One has to furnish suitable annua income details and certificate to justify that they are eligible to enjoy the scheme benefits and it should not be more than 8 lakhs.
  • Attendance details – A candidate should a minimum of 50% of attendance to be eligible for the scheme benefits.
  • Course duration – When candidate is part of the course, they cannot have a two years gap in between.

However, when students are applying for Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Vastigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna (DTE), the same eligibility details are applicable as mentioned above. One should check the details carefully when they wish to register for the scholarship and avail of the benefits.

Directorate Of Higher Education

Eligibility

If a student is planning to get benefits of higher education, they can register for this scholarship scheme. It will offer adequate financial assistance to the candidate and they can pursue the educational stream of their choice. The scholarship scheme is mainly to cover up for the candidates who have financial problems and results in school drop-offs due to the same. Therefore, the directorate of higher education has offered 13 different scheme options for students to get scholarship benefits for education in the right stream. It is only available to students of Maharashtra and other eligibility are detailed in the following part.

Assistance to Meritorious Students Scholarship – Junior LevelThe students belonging to class 11th and 12th are only eligible to register for the scheme and should have a DHE sanctioned letter to be eligible for the scheme. Moreover, only the students of the state can register for the scheme and enjoy the benefits

  1. The students under government and non-government schemes would be waived off for 100% of course fee for the ones whose annual family income is up to rupees 2.5 lakhs 
  2. Students whose annual family income is up to 8 lakhs, 50% of the fees would be waived off for the government and non-government courses 
  3. For any professional and non-professional courses, both 50% and 100% fees would be waived off for the students 
  • Assistance to Meritorious Students Scholarship – Junior Level

The AMS junior-level scholarship would be given up to rupees 3000 and the senior level would be up to 7000 

  • Education Concession to the Children of Ex-Servicemen

For books and college dress, allowance of rupees 445 would be given 

  • Eklavya Scholarship

The scholarship of rupees 5000 would be given for the sanctioned students under the scheme 

  • State Government Open Merit Scholarship

Under this, rupees 100 would be directly transferred to the linked bank accounts 

  • Scholarship to Meritorious Students Possessing Mathematics/Physics

Here again, rupees 100 would be credited to link bank account of a beneficiary student 

  • Government Vidyaniketan Scholarship

Under this, rupees 100 would be given

For professional course :-

  1. Students under MMRDA, Aurangabad, Nagpur, PMRDA city would be given rupees 30, 000 for 10 months and it should be mostly marginal landholder whose family income is up to 8 lakhs 
  2. When family income of students are less than 1 lakhs, they will be given rupees 10, 000 for 10 months under the scheme 

For non-professional course :-

In this, a scholarship of rupees 2000 would be given to students for 10 months when family income is up to 1 lakh. 

OBC, SEBC, VJNT and SBC Welfare Department

Eligibility

If students belong to OBC, SEBC, VJNT & SBC Welfare Department, there are certain eligibility criteria to be eligible for the scheme. Only the students of these department are eligible to register. The students who can pursue government approved courses can register for the scheme and can enjoy the benefit of scholarship. Check the details of eligibility criteria below for each of scholarship category to register for the right one.

  • Post-Matric Scholarship for VJNT Students
  1. Student category – Only the OBC, SBC and VJNT category students can register for the scheme
  2. Course details – If only applicant pursues course approved by government, they are eligible to register for the scheme
  3. Annual income of students – The annual income of family of the applicant should not be more than 1 lakhs
  4. CAP system – The applicant has to apply for the scholarship via the CAP system to be eligible for the scheme
  5. Attendance details – An applicant should have a minimum of 75% of attendance to be eligible for registration of the scheme
  • Tuition Fees and Examination Fees to VJNT Students
  1. Student category – Only student of VJNT category can register for the scheme. The students belonging to unaided or aided government college in technical education department can register for it
  2. Course details – A student should be pursuing health science and related course to be eligible for the scheme and register for the same. The course eligible in particular are animal husbandry, dairy development, agriculture, fisheries and the like are eligible 
  3. Residential details – The applicant should belong from Maharashtra to be eligible for the scheme 
  4. Annual income of students – The annua income should be not exceed the limit of rupees 8 lakhs for the scheme
  • Payment of Maintenance Allowance to VJNT and SBC Students Studying in Professional Courses and Living in Hostel Attached to Professional Colleges
  1. Category of the student – The student of only VJNT and SBC category are the eligible one for the scheme
  2. Annual income limit – The income limit should not exceed rupees 1 lakh to be eligible for the scheme
  3. Educational institute – Studentspursuing professional course such as medical, engineering, architecture and veterinary and others are eligible to register for the scheme 
  4. Course eligible to register – The students who are in engineering, medical, veterinary and architecture stream can apply. The applicants should be living in hotels of government college when they apply for the scheme
  • Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship for Students Studying in 11th & 12thStandard of VJNT & SBC Category
  1. Category of the student – The student belonging to Jatis, Vimukta, Nomadic tride and the special backward class are eligible for the scheme
  2. Annual income limit – There is no income limit for registering under this scholarship scheme
  3. Educational details – The students of 11th and 12th standard can register for the scheme. Moreover, there should not have any study gap when applying for the scheme benefits

Directorate of Medical Education and Research

Eligibility

Students who are studying under medical and research department can register for the scholarship scheme. But they should check the eligibility details before applying for the same. Different financial incentives are offered to students under this category of scheme to help them continue with their education. School Education and Sports Department

Eligibility

The School Education and Sports Department has come up with the tendency to help the interested students to motivate them. By the financial help, it would help them continue being parts of sports activities. It is offering two types of sports activities and they are as follows:

  1. Open merit scholarship in junior college
  2. merit scholarship for economically backward class students

Minority Development Department

Eligibility

The scholarships under the Minority Development Department are mainly offered to students of minority communities. Here, three types of scholarship are to be given and they are:

  • State minority scholarship part II or DHE 
  • Scholarship for students of minority group pursuing professional course or DTE
  •  scholarship for students of minority group who are pursuing higher and professional courses or DMER

Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship Department Scholarship

Eligibility and Amount

The scholarship has been arranged by the skill development, employment and Entrepreneurship department. It is mainly to arrange for fee reimbursement for vocational training for the students of educationally and social backward classes and it is an open category scholarship option. As per this scholarship scheme, the ones admitted in government ITIs and private ITIs can register and it is mainly done through CAP process where there will be fee reimbursement and benefit would be given depending on eligibility criteria of the students. The details of the criteria are enlisted below.

  • Family annual income – With family income less than rupees 2, 50, 000, full fees will be reimbursed and with the ones with income above rupees 2, 50, 000, but less than INR 8 lakhs, 80% of the fees would be reimbursed as benefit of the scholarship 
  • Admission through PPP scheme – The students who have taken admission through PPP scheme and Central online process studying at government and private industrial training institutes are eligible for the scholarship scheme and enjoy the benefits 
  • Category of students – The economically and socially backward class students are eligible to register for the scheme 
  • Orphan children – The orphans can also register for the scheme and they have to submit a recommendation letter for the scheme to higher authorities and get the benefits. 
  • No benefit from other schemes – The students who wish to be part of the scheme, should not take advantage of other schemes to be eligible for this one. Also, they cannot benefit from any private or government ITI. 
  • Residents of the state – As the scheme has been launched in Maharashtra, only the residents of the state are eligible to register for the scheme 
  • Number of children in family – A total of two children from each family are eligible to register for the scheme and get the scholarship benefits. 

Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri Scholarships

Eligibility and Amount

This scholarship is meant for students of farmers who are economically backward. It is mainly to help them with ease of admission with diploma, degree, PG or any professional course via the centralized admission system. As per this, different incentives facilities are offered to the students so that they can continue with their studies and can get reimbursement of examination, tuition fees and others. There are two types of schemes and they are as follows: 

  • Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Fee Reimbursement Scheme
  1. Nationalism of candidate – Only Indian students are eligible for the scheme and natives of Maharashtra can register for the scheme  
  2. Bonafide students of Institute – Only Bonafide student of institute, admitted for professional, non-professional and technical course can apply for the scheme 
  3. Admission through CAP process – The applicant must be admitted via the CAP process

  • Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Hostel Maintenance Allowance
  1. No other government scholarship – If candidate is applying for this scholarship, they cannot opt for other government sponsored scheme options 
  2. Annual income – The annual family income of the candidate cannot exceed INR 8 lakhs to be eligible for scheme 
  3. Attendance of student – The student should get minimum of 50% of attendance to register for the scheme 
  4. Domicile candidate of student – As the scheme has been launched in Maharashtra and state authorities, only the domicile candidates are allowed to register for scheme 
  5. Admission through CAP process – The student should take admission for technical, government and non-government courses through the CAP process and it is to be checked at the time of checking the eligibility of a candidate.

  • Rajashree Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shiksha Shulk Shishyavrutti Yojana

These are financial incentives arranged for students to help them continue the educational course and study of their choice. Before they register, they should check the eligibility details for help. 

  1. Residents of the state – The natives of Maharashtra are eligible to register for the scheme and they should either belong to Maharashtra state or border of Karnataka to be eligible to register for the scheme.

  3. Number of children eligible for scheme – Only two children from one family can register for the scheme. In this, general category students can also be included.
