Subhiksha Keralam Scheme Benefits

Subhiksha Keralam Scheme 2021 is a scheme which has been introduced by the State Government of Kerala’s Agriculture department. This scheme has been launched for the farmers of the state who are hit hard by the worldwide Covid-19 Pandemic. This integrated food security scheme through this state is planning to revive the agriculture field of the state who is facing many problems in terms of economics due to Coronavirus.

In this scheme each local body will start the activities related to agriculture in many different ways. As in the time of Covid-19 pandemic the state was dependent on many other neighborhood states to fulfill the need of food and now to make itself dependent this Subhiksha Keralam scheme is launched. As per the decision of the state government of Kerala they have decided to cultivate the land of around 2200 hectares.

Also, the Kerala Government is planning to convert around 25,000 hectares of fellow land to farms. In this scheme all the departments are merging together to make this scheme a huge success. To create a good model of integrated farming, the government is putting lots of effort so the expense can be reduced and income will be more.

Assistance to Beneficiaries Under Subhiksha Keralam Scheme

An ordinance has been presented by the Kerala Government that includes instructions on assistance related to fallow farming and maximum allowable help for the fixed cultivation. In the Livestock sector the subsidy rates have been changed. For e.g. the unit cost of milch cow and milch Buffalo has been changed and now it is Rs. 60,000.

This subsidy amount is 50% for the normal public, for the scheduled castes it is 75% and it is 100% for the Scheduled tribes of state. Apart from this the subsidy rates for many other different sectors like Cattle Farming, Fodder Cultivation, Poultry, Fish Farming, Cattle Farming, Modernization of Mini Dairy Farms & Kitchen Poultry has also increased.
