The people, living in the various cities of Andhra Pradesh have access to good schools and other education sectors. But the same is not applicable to the people who live in the villages. State reports highlight that the literacy rate in the villages is comparatively lower. Most of this can be attributed to the high percentage of school dropouts. Lack of financial support from the parents also forces the students to give up their studies mid-way. The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh has launched a new scheme to put a stopper on this. Under the YSR Amma Vodi Scheme, the government will provide financial assistance to those mothers, who send their children to schools regularly. In this article, you will learn about the other crucial aspects of this scheme.
